The court's decision effectively banned abortion in Texas, due to a trigger law the state had in place ready for when Roe would be overturned. Restaurant workers—a majority low-income and female population—are uniquely affected by lack of access to abortion, and Houston's food community is fighting back with fundraisers and initiatives. Angel Share is a charity bar that donates money to rotating nonprofits every month.
