Former Midland College golf standout JT Pittman will be looking to win the West Texas Amateur title for the second time in three years when the tournament tees off at The Old Course at Odessa Country Club today.The 94th West Texas Amateur will feature 144 players with 84 in the in the Championship Division, 42 in the Senior Division (55 and older) and 17 in the Super Senior Division (65 and older). There will be a little more than 30 golfers from Midland or Odessa competing in the championship division, including former Midland Men's City champions Davis Seybert (2021), Jay McHugh (2015, 2016, 2018), Rick Houston (2009, 2010, 2013) and Mac McGee (2001).
