Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is opening its 500th restaurant this week in North Texas. The restaurant chain's newest location is opening on Tuesday at 608 SW Wilshire Blvd. in Burleson — inside the Burleson Plaza shopping center. Freddy's Burleson restaurant is No. 500 in its over 20-year history. The first Freddy's opened in 2002 in Wichita, Kansas. The restaurant chain serves up, you guessed it, frozen custard and steakburgers, which the company describes as thin patty with crispy edges.
