Their homes are beautiful and we were excited about building in Cross Timbers, but we were forced to back out due to the terribly lengthy process of just getting a contract to sign, and the complete unresponsiveness of the sales person. We paid $2500 for the architect fee to have a floor plan from another community planned for Cross Timbers, and 6 weeks later, we still don’t even have a price, let alone a contract. Worse, Shanta hasn’t explained what the delay is and didn’t even respond to my text politely asking when we would have an agreement ready. I’ve heard she hasn’t responded to my realtor either. She also missed the appointment I set up with her when I was first contacted the community, and then just didn’t respond to emails, forcing me to chase her down just to find out more about the community. Trying to sell to me certainly didn’t seem to be a priority, and not responding to emails and texts is just unprofessional. So we had to back out, as we need to be in our house by a certain time. We are certainly disappointed, but would rather lose the $2500 we put in than get into an expensive ordeal with this company.
