The annual Bev Ball Classic volleyball tournament begins Friday with 22 teams, including Abilene, Cooper and Wylie high schools, playing 38 best-of-three matches in pool play at Abilene High's Eagle Gym and Cooper's Cougar Gym.The top two teams in each of the five pools, plus the third seed from two other pools, will advance to the championship bracket Saturday at Eagle Gym. The rest of the field will play in the silver bracket at Cougar Gym.Holliday, a Class 3A school, is back after reaching the title match last year, losing to Class 3A Bushland.
